My musical life began as a teenager in the Midwest, learning to play bass to impress a classmate (she also played bass so we couldn't be in a band, whoops). Eventually I played guitar and sang alongside some incredible musicians in a couple New York bands, The Memories and my namesake, Tolani. My solo arc ostensibly began during COVID, stuck at home with time to kill and a new keyboard to play with. Currently, I’m based in Armonk, NY where I’m working towards a full-length recording and live show.
